The mission of the MRWA is to preserve, protect and enhance the natural, historic and cultural resources of the Muskegon River Watershed through educational and scientific initiatives, while supporting positive economic development, agricultural and quality of life initiatives of organizations working in the river watershed.

Bear Creek Project - Poster Contest

The MRWA and Muskegon Conservation District conducted a poster contest for students in the Bear Creek/Lake Watershed. The theme of the contest was issues and concerns with water quality in the Bear Creek/Lake Watershed and ways to correct these issues and concerns. The winners of the contest are:

Overall Winner - Candy Norwick, Reeths Puffer Middle School
6th-8th Grade Category - Amelia Enberg, Reeths Puffer Middle School

3rd-5th Grade Category - Matthew Meier, North Muskegon Elementary

Candy will receive a $100 U.S. Savings Bond and Ameila and Matthew will each receive a $50 U.S. Savings Bond. Congratulations!
